Perspective Ellipse Bugfixes

October 24, 2019

A patch update (build 19.10.22.1800) was released today. This fixes several bugs with the perspective ellipse that could cause the quad to degenerate in some rare situations while interacting with the control points.

Perspective Ellipse Update!

October 22, 2019

Today's update adds improvements to the Perspective Ellipse ruler! The center control point now moves the quad in perspective (hold alt for the old screen-space move behavior). The new Setup from Perspective Ruler buttons (or associated keyboard shortcuts) will automatically setup your quad so that you can draw perspective circles based on the current Linear Perspective ruler's settings.

A new option has been added to LNP's Photoshop settings: Canvas tracking: use DPI. If your rulers are being offset when you pan and zoom your canvas, try unchecking this option (and if that doesn't help, please email me).

This update also adds support for Photoshop 2020. Remember that you have to reinstall LNP after updating Photoshop, as it doesn't move plugins to the new plugin folder.

Perspective Horizon and Line Tilting

September 17, 2019

Today's update adds two features that many users requested for the Perspective Ruler: Horizon Tilt, and Line 1 and 2 Tilt.

This will help you draw more dynamic looking "dutch angle" scenes, as well as quickly draw inclines such as ramps and roofs without switching to another ruler.

I've also added a Reset Toolbar Position function in the toolbar settings, in case your preset toolbar ends up off-screen somewhere. Be sure to read the change log for the full list of changes.

More Toolbar Improvements

June 25, 2019

Today's update adds improvements and bugfixes to the toolbar, notably for users on multi-display systems where the screens have different DPI.

Some users complained that the toolbar wasn't always easy to grab, so you can now move it by holding control and clicking anywhere in the window.

And many thanks to Nikola for spotting a bug that was sometimes preventing Lazy Nezumi Pro from working correctly in Blender and a few other non-Photoshop apps.

As always, please check the change log for a full list of changes.

Toolbar Bugfixes

June 02, 2019

Today's update fixes several bugs with the new toolbar. Thanks to Ari for reporting a couple of these! I've also added an Auto Hide setting that will automatically hide the toolbar when a non-LNP active window gets focus, and a keyboard shortcut to toggle it manually.

Please don't hesitate to report any bugs or strange behavior!

Preset Toolbar!

May 31, 2019

As more and more functionality has been added over the years, it has become increasingly annoying to dig through the preset list to find what you need. To help with this, today's update adds a much needed Preset Toolbar! This will help you quickly access your favorite presets without having to use the list or keyboard shortcuts.

The toolbar is fully customizable by editing a simple XML file. You can have as many or as few presets in it as you want, in fly-out groups or by themselves. You can even add overlay icons for scripts, as shown in the stock toolbar! The toolbar can magnet-stick to the sides of your monitor, and you can select between wide/thin and horizontal/vertical layouts.

A huge thanks goes out to Dave "LeDev" Montoya for ideas/testing/encouragement and a wonderful set of icons, and to Aaron Jakubenko for another awesome set of icons!

Today's update adds a new ruler: Cubic Bezier!

This will help you draw more complex curves than what you can with the Quadratic Bezier ruler. Click here to learn more about it!

3-Point Fit

February 13, 2019

Today's update adds a new fitting mode to the Ellipse and Bezier rulers called 3-Point Fit. For the Bezier ruler, this will let you setup your curve by clicking on where you want the start, middle (t=0.5), and end points to be. For the Ellipse ruler, this will let you setup your ellipse by clicking on the two sides of the major axis segment, and then a third time to define the degree.

Bezier 3-Point Fit

The current normalized position on the Bezier curve is now connected to the scripting engine via the "dn" input variable. Its value varies from 0 at one end to 1 at the other. I've added a new script mode named "bezier auto pressure" in the pressure section as a usage example. It connects this input to the pressure output variable, which helps you draw bezier curves with perfect pressure gradients.

Quadratic Bezier Ruler!

January 18, 2019

Happy new year! Today's update adds a new ruler: Quadratic Bezier!

This will help you draw precise curves, and effortless offset/parallel curves. Click here to learn more about it!

This update also adds a new option to the Overlay settings: On only for rulers. This is for people who have slow machines or very high resolution monitors with which LNP's overlay window may cause performance issues.
